AUA has nearly 20 scholarships available to students who have been accepted at AUA. Academic awards, service awards, and cultural awards are the three core categories that students can explore to find a scholarship they might be eligible to receive. Not all students will receive a scholarship, but the first step in exploring this is to submit your information to learn more, or apply right online.

AUA’s curriculum is taught in English, and all accepted students must be proficient in English. We may require a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test System (IELTS) test score and/or require an admissions faculty interview from any applicant if it appears that English language proficiency could interfere with that student’s academic success at AUA. The TOEFL code assigned to American University of Antigua College of Medicine is B573. An international applicant who completes his/her required academic courses from an English-speaking academic institution will be exempt from this requirement.

In the heart of South Carolina lies the capital and one of the south’s most charming cities: Columbia. “Soda City,” as it’s known, has become a vibrant meld of old and new. You can sample some signature barbecue or pimento cheese while you visit the many historic landmarks around the downtown area. For outdoor enthusiasts, Columbia is brimming with natural beauty—lakes, rivers and national parks surround the city and provide ample opportunity for those craving a bit of adventure. But the most prominent and possibly loudest attraction (during a football game anyway) is the University of South Carolina. The school and its students bring the city to life.
